Macklemore Announces New Album and Ke$ha Collaboration

The man who brought you the likes of ‘Thrift Shop’ and ‘Can’t Hold Us’ is back with his own solo album GEMINI. The record is out on 22nd September and has some very intriguing collaborations… 

After summer success with singles ‘Glorius’ featuring Skylar Grey and, more recently, ‘Marmalade’ with Lil Yachty, the Seattle-born rapper today announced his new album GEMINI.

This will be his first effort as a solo star, parting ways with Ryan Lewis, since 2005’s The Language of My World. Collaborations are normal for the rapper and GEMINI features some tasty names.

Most excitingly, Ke$ha, whose recent album debuted at number one this week, appears on the sixth track ‘Good Old Days’. How this song will sound remains a mystery but with Ke$ha’s new album Rainbow showing some strong retro influences the track name is not too surprising.

Elsewhere, the voice behind hit ‘Downtown’, Eric Nally, will feature on the opening track of the record ‘Ain’t Gonna Die Tonight’, whilst Xperience returns after his work on Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ 2016 album This Unruly Mess I Made.

Another name worth noting is Dan Caplen who appears two times. The singer/songwriter is a lesser known name but has caught attention for his on work with singles such as ‘Badman’ and ‘Flat Champagne’ featuring the hotly rated RAY BLK. GEMINI could provide a chance for him to catapult into the big time. Listen to him below!
